The Jamaican Defence Force is a highly specialized Militia. Training is provided by the Canadian and British Royal Marines to attain the JDF's status as a well disciplined and top quality force. The Jamaican Defence Force is a relatively new militia which began at the onset of Jamaica's Independence. In it's short history the JDF has proven many times in peacekeeping missions around the world, that it has what it takes to do the job right.
